Sorrento & Amalfi Coast Day Trip

  • 1,608 reviews | 13,143 travellers
As expected, it's a very quick tour but I think it's the most comfortable chance to visit the Amalfi Coast for you from Naples and only having one day. If I had organized it differently I would have booked the stay in Sorrento and from there I would have been able to visit the other sites independently.

Day Trip to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast

Having picked you up from the meeting point you choose when booking, we skirt the coast of Naples, and over a journey of about 1 hour 15 minutes arrive in Sorrento.

Tranquil coves, mysterious grottoes and a picture-perfect bay are some of the main attractions of the city which serves as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. From the breathtaking cliffs of Sorrento, we'll get incredible views of the Naples bay and of Mount Vesuvius.

Our route continues to admire one of the most charming sights along the coast of Campania, as we make our way into Positano. This enchanting little town with steep winding streets, tiny squares and white or colourful houses is found tucked away in the mountain.

After about 30 minutes along the coast, we'll arrive at the little maritime village which gives its name to this coastal area: Amalfi. Here we can see the major symbol of the Amalfi Coast, the San Andres Cathedral, an impressive complex that dominates the square of the same name.

Our final stop will be in Ravello, the town with the best views on the coast. The traditional villas and mansions with beautiful gardens make this area one of the chosen holiday spots for the Italian nobility. From the Villa Rufolo gardens, we can enjoy an unmissable highlight of the area.

Afterwards, we'll meet again to start our way back to the starting point, where we'll say goodbye between 8 and 8.5 hours after the beginning of the activity.
